FREE REMOTE EVALUATION
We have the technology to provide a solar estimate for your home or business remotely. We can zero in on your house or business and determine the direction of your roof angles to measure the amount of sunlight you receive thus analyzing solar potential for your site. We will ask for a few months of your energy bills and can then determine the approximate size and price of the solar panel system right for you.

ONSITE ENERGY AUDIT AND DETAILED SOLAR PROPOSAL

For a nominal fee, we visit your site, take solar readings, get roof measurements, determine location for your Inverter and or batteries. We can also perform an energy audit to see where most of your energy is being used and recommend options for energy savings even before a Solar installation. We then provide a detailed solar proposal and return on investment document.

FEDERAL TAX CREDITS, REAP GRANTS
How can solar save you money? In addition to the monthly energy savings, you also receive help from the government. If you are a homeowner adding solar panels, you will receive a Federal Tax Credit equal to 26% of the cost! For example, let’s say your solar array costs $20,000. Your Federal Tax Credit will be $6,000! You can then finance the balance of $14,000 leaving you with a very manageable monthly payment.
Federal Solar Investment Tax Credit (ITC)
The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 increased the Residential Clean Energy Credit to 30% and extends it until the end of 2032. What this means, is that the Investment Tax Credit (ITC) can be claimed on your federal income taxes for 30% of the cost of solar photovoltaic (PV) system. If you install a $20,000 solar energy system, your tax credit will be $6,000. If your tax liability is less than this amount, the credit may be spread over an additional year. You will need to complete federal form #5695 (Residential Energy Credits) to receive the benefit.
Please note that you are eligible for the ITC only if you own the solar system. If you lease a solar system then the third party owner gets the tax credit associated with the system.
REAP Grants: If you are a farm owner or small business in a rural area you are eligible for a federal grant for solar installation.
To determine if you are in a rural area, check the USDA-REAP Rural Eligibility Map.
All farms in the REAP eligible areas qualify for the grants. Small Rural businesses qualify for the grants as well. Go to this website for more information on how to apply.

SOLAR SYSTEM INSTALLATION

Getting the solar panels positioned correctly is an initial and very important step in installing the system. In many instances the roof is the best location for solar panel installation for both residential and business customers. We will take readings and determine sun angles look at the roof structure, etc. In instances when the roof may not be desirable or structurally applicable there are other options. These may include a garage or other buildings, standard ground mounting or even sun tracking applications.

We use German designed Q-Cell Solar panels with their manufacturing facility located right here in Dalton, GA.

BATTERIES: KEEPING THE POWER ON!
With our current electrical grid system getting older, it is a good time to consider a battery system to complement your solar power. The reason for choosing a battery backup system is so you can store the excess energy your panels produce during the day and use the stored power at night when electrical rates are often higher. Another advantage is to allow you to have power in your home during power outage emergencies.
You might even consider going “off the Grid.” Off-grid systems are not dependent on your local utility. The poser from your panels is stored in a battery system connected to your home electrical panel. Off-grid systems generate electricity even during a blackout in the surrounding community. Hybrid systems are connected to the power grid, but also have battery storage. If your system is properly managed, you’ll also have electrical during a blackout.
Our primary battery options are:

We can walk you through the options so you can be confident in your choice of battery backup systems. We also have an excellent phone app that allows you to constantly monitor your power system and show you when your system is feeding power into the batteries and how the batteries are used overnight.

INVERTERS
Your inverter choice is one of the most important pieces of equipment in a solar energy system. It's a device that converts direct current (DC) electricity, which is what a solar panel generates, to alternating current (AC) electricity, which the electrical grid uses.

SOLAR PANEL MAINTENANCE
Clean solar panels perform better giving you the results you desire. Regularly cleaned solar panels also tend to last longer maximizing your investment. We suggest an annual inspection and cleaning service to keep your solar system at peak performance.
Residential service is $375 for the average home solar system. Larger systems with more than two inverters typically cost an extra $50 per inverter.
